Caroline Lawson has worked as an interior designer for over thirty years. She originally trained with the respected and renowned Diana Hanbury. As well as interior design she learnt the skills and technology of the highest quality soft furnishings and upholstery from Frederick Hardy. Caroline is a professional member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and has served on the Regional Committee of the National Trust for 3 years. Caroline is inspired by classical buildings and their beautiful proportions. She is well known for her restoration work, sympathetic design and use of materials for the buildings involved. She has worked on many important Listed Country Houses throughout Britain and Europe as well as houses and apartments in London and she regards client confidentiality as essential. With offices in London and Shropshire she is well placed to undertake commissions throughout the country. Offering a complete design service, supported by her own workrooms where the highest quality soft furnishings and upholstery are produced. Specialising in the restoration and redecoration of period country houses, her work is predominately classical. She gives great attention to detail and manages all commissions personally. Caroline is at present project managing the complete modernisation and refurbishment of two maisonettes in London and the redecoration of three flats in Chelsea, as well as several Country Houses.
